Hello and I sure hope I'm doing this right! This is Melanie...as in the Melanie that has posted this blog and is facilitating the "Steering By Starlight" workshop. I am looking forward to tomorrow's workshop and meeting with each of you. I know we will have a great time and learn some important information.
This has been two of the most poignant and crazy weeks of my life. My oldest son and his wife had their second child on April 1. They have a 2 year old son and now have a sweet little girl to add to the family. I have two sons, my sister has three sons and I am so delighted to have another "woman" in the family! I know I will have to get in touch with my "girlie" side again and will probably be broke by the time she's 3.
However, as things sometimes happen, my daughter-in-law has had some difficult times since the birth of "Kadie". She ended up in the hospital 5 days after Kadie's birth and is still there. My son spends the days and nights at the hospital with his wife and with the baby. My 2 year old grandson gets to spend time with his grandmothers and visits Mom and little sister every day. It has brought out the best in our families and hopefully will be over soon.
Sometimes there are silver threads in those clouds and when we look back we will remember how these events have brought us all closer. Love requires us to be the greatest person we are capable of being.

Steering By Starlight Workshop...We had our first meeting last night and I am so excited about this workshop! We have a great group of women and this is just the beginning of our journey together. We all agreed that there is a certain type of symmetry or serendipity in our midst. More about the workshop later. I would like to invite questions or comments as we go through this process of finding our "North Star"...Also, please feel free to call me whenever you feel the need or would like to talk....You know, since I've named my blog site "Mel's Diner", how about a receipe or two? I have to admit I'm a better life coach than I am a cook but I do love food...especially food for thought! Melanie
